Harry Fry has rightly been lauded for his brilliant training performance with Unowhatimeanharry and his star staying hurdler will look to make it an unbeaten eight runs in a row at Cheltenham on Saturday.
Since joining Fry Unowhatimeanharry has gone from strength to strength and after finishing last season with victory in the Albert Bartlett Novices' Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival he has emerged a red-hot favourite for the Sun Bets Stayers' Hurdle with impressive wins in the Grade 2 Long Distance Hurdle and the Grade 1 Long Walk Hurdle.
In both those races he has clashed with the Nigel Twiston-Davies-trained Ballyoptic who will likely be his main danger in Saturday's Grade 2 Cleeve Hurdle. In their first clash at Newbury Unowhatimeanharry was worth far more than an eased down six-length win and again looked to be taking control when Ballyoptic came crashing down at the final flight at Ascot.
As pointed out several times here I'm a huge fan of Unowhatimeanharry and expect his winning run to continue all the way to the Sun Bets Stayers' Hurdle where he can justify his star status. The staying hurdle divsion had been left wide-open with Thistlecrack's switch to chasing at the start of the season but another dominant victory on Saturday will see Unowhatimeanharry a short price favourite at The Festival.
The Cleeve Hurdle is live on Sky Racing on Saturday night.
